Summer & Articling Students
Opara Law PC conducts interviews for students in accordance with the guidelines
set by the Law Society of Upper Canada. For more information about our requirements
and how we can assist you.
Opara Law PC continues to grow from strength to strength. We are a team of lawyers
with expertise in all our practice areas. As a boutique firm whose head office is
strategically located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, we provide a friendly, supportive
and interactive work environment and offer our students the opportunity to experience
all aspects of our practice areas through our Articling & Summer Rotation Program.
That way, our students are better equipped to make informed choices respecting the
area(s) of law that they would like to concentrate on when they get called to the
bar.
Our students gain hands-on experience by working on firm files, including drafting
court documents, responses and submissions to the Canadian Intellectual Property
Office, corporate agreements and documents, research memoranda, opinions, pleadings
and facta, among others. Moreover, our students are given the opportunity to attend
on discoveries, examinations-in-chief, cross-examinations, motions, and court proceedings
with our lawyers. To keep up to our calling as one of Canada’s dynamic law firms,
we conduct monthly or bi-monthly practice meetings and internal professional development
seminars, all of which provide great insights and benefits to our students.
Each student is assigned a principal and a mentor. Our principals and mentors act
as a primary resource and liaison between our students and the firm, and our students
are encouraged to go to them at any time. We seek students who have a genuine interest
in our practice areas. We employ summer and articling students each year. Our compensation
and benefits package are commensurate with comparable Toronto area law firms.
If you are thrilled by the above and are convinced that you are equal to the task,
we would like to hear from you. Please mail your resume to us or forward it to us
through our online browser.
